Ainura Usenbekova, Deputy Minister of Economy and Trade of the Kyrgyz Republic, spoke about the process of obtaining licenses for gambling companies, the Kabar agency reports.
The Deputy Minister noted that four licenses for gambling activities have been issued in the country so far. As a result of licensing betting operators, the budget of Kyrgyzstan received 482.9 thousand US dollars.
According to the State Financial Supervision Authority of Kyrgyzstan, the following companies have successfully passed licensing:
- Sports Entertainment LLP — 1xBet brand;
- Olimpbet LLC — Olimpbet brand;
- Trust Game Bookmaker LLC is a brand of Ringobet.
The authorities did not provide any information on the fourth betting license.
Gambling received legal status in Kyrgyzstan in the summer of 2022. Requirements for gambling establishments prohibit citizens of the country from participating in gambling; only foreigners aged 21 and over can be clients; the law prohibits the use of gambling establishments on the territory of Kyrgyzstan.
