Starlizard Integrity Services, a division of British consultancy Starlizard, is launching Komodo, a new online match-fixing alert system, according to Inside World Football.
Komodo’s online services are reportedly provided free of charge to sports federations, associations and law enforcement agencies around the world in an effort to combat match-rigging.
Komodo can detect suspicious matches, analyze betting market activity in bookmakers and provide this information to interested parties.
Komodo will initially focus on cheating in football, but will eventually expand its monitoring to other sports, including cricket.
It is also noted that the Komodo reports are primarily aimed at investigating allegations of match-fixing, but in some cases can be used as evidence in court.
Starlizard Integrity Services (SIS) was launched in 2017 as a specialized division of Starlizard focused entirely on sports integrity. Earlier it was reported that SIS has identified 144 potential «negotiators» in football by 2022.
