The first casino licence was issued in Kyrgyzstan, some 10 months after the government officially legalised the industry in the country. According to the State Financial Supervision Authority, Grand Casino LLC became the first licensee.
The adoption of the law on the legalisation of gambling has been criticised by many politicians and public figures inside Kyrgyzstan. In particular, MP Dastan Bekeshev considered the regulatory framework ineffective due to a significant period of absence of licence applicantions.
Grand Casino LLC was registered on November 14, 2022. The company is headed by Adil Abdimanapov. The licence fee amounts to nearly $960,000.
