Real Madrid topped the Forbes’ latest list of the world’s most valuable football teams with a valuation of US$6.07 billion.
It is the seventh time that Real Madrid comes up on top of the annual Forbes list, with the club’s valuation of US$5.1 billion last year. However, their valuation is still significantly lower than that of the National Football League (NFL) Dallas Cowboys, which Forbes recently valued at US$8 billion.
According to the American business publication, the increase in value in all areas is mainly due to the increase in corporate multiples (the ratio of enterprise value to revenue) that buyers are willing to pay for clubs.
