Michael Owen, who was previously the star of the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and the England national team, has taken a stunning turn in his career by taking on the role of brand ambassador for SunBet, an online betting platform owned by Sun International.
SunBet, a leading online betting platform that is part of the Sun International group, has signed football superstar Michael Owen to represent their brand. With the agreement signed in June 2023, in celebration of the 13th anniversary of the betting platform, a new era for business is dawning.

Michael Owen, winner of the 2001 Ballon d’Or, as part of his duties as a SunBet spokesperson, will provide results predictions, expert advice and insights, weekly football betting odds, and signed memorabilia. In addition, Owen, who is also an experienced racehorse owner and trainer, will periodically share exciting insights into the industry.

In 1997, at just 17 years old, Michael Owen burst onto the scene by joining English giants Liverpool. Becoming the club’s youngest player and goalscorer in history, Owen began a journey that took him through hardline rivals Manchester United and Newcastle United, as well as Spanish heavyweight Real Madrid. During his football career, he scored over 220 goals in nearly 500 club appearances. No less impressive were his achievements on the international stage: Owen scored 40 goals in 89 matches for the England national team.
