Yggdrasil, a leading Swedish iGaming publisher, impresses with its new release of Starfire Fortunes TopHit, opening the doors to the interstellar world with a unique approach — the tenth game engagement mechanic (GEM).
TopHit sees the reel above the game spin in sync. When a high paying symbol comes fully into view, it transforms into a wild symbol and also turns all matching symbols on the reels into wilds. If multiple copies of the same symbol appear on the top reel, the wilds they create will receive a multiplier up to 5x.
The nudge symbol can land on the fifth reel and this will cause all partially visible symbols on the special reel to become fully visible, increasing the chances of wilds appearing even more.
If three or more free spins symbols appear on the TopHit reel, the bonus mode is triggered, in which all the features that appear on the reel remain active throughout the game session, which greatly increases the likelihood of multiple wilds appearing on a single spin. In addition, extra spins can be earned if a free spins symbol appears on the TopHit reel or if six or more copies of the same symbol appear on the reel during a round.
There is also a feature called “Golden Bet” where the player is guaranteed a push, as well as a buy bonus feature allowing players to jump directly into the bonus round in certain jurisdictions.
