An investigation by the authorities revealed that Baltic Bet posted information on its website that encouraged gambling. This information was published between November 3, 2022 and February 28 this year.
The regulator ruled that the company violated Article 10(19) of the Gambling Law, which prohibits the promotion of gambling.
The regulator also found a problem with Baltic Bet using keywords in the Google search engine to promote the Optibet brand.
According to information from the Authority, the use of a combination of the keywords Optibet Casino and Optibet live betting drew attention to the operator’s website, which was found to be a violation of article 10, paragraph 19 of the Gambling Law.
In response, the regulator fined Baltic Bet and warned that in case of repetition of violations, additional measures could be applied to it. The authorities have asked Baltic Bet to take these measures by July 7th.
