Giorgi Mamardashvili, a football player from Georgia, has moved into the top 5 young goalkeepers in the list compiled by the International Center for Sports Research – CIES Football Observatory. The CIES Football Observatory rankings cover players from 75 leagues around the world and identify the top goalkeepers under 25 based on their playing time over the past year.
Valencia football club reported that the Georgian goalkeeper has a coefficient of 67.0 and has become a key player for both the club and the Georgian national team. Three other goalkeepers have made the list: Italian Gianluigi Donnarumma, who plays for Paris Saint-Germain and the Italian national team, Brazilian Bento Krepski, goalkeeper at Atlético Paranaense, and Portuguese Diogo Costa, goalkeeper at Porto.
