SBC Awards 10th Anniversary: Shortlists of the Largest Award in the Gambling Industry Announced

SBC is pleased to announce the completion of the selection process for the 10th Anniversary SBC Awards 2023 taking place in September in Barcelona as part of the SBC Summit.

The shortlists include top companies in the industry that have achieved impressive results in a variety of categories, including operators, affiliates, suppliers and leaders. Betsson Group leads with nine nominations, followed by Sportradar and Evoplay with seven nominations each. Kaizen Gaming also has six nominations, while OpenBet, CreedRoomz and Novibet each receive five nominations.

The 2023 awards attracted a record number of entries, creating a challenging task for the independent jury to shortlist 39 categories.

The awards evening of the prestigious award ceremony will take place on Thursday, September 21, on the final day of the SBC Summit in Barcelona. The venue will be the legendary Caves Codorníu, the oldest cava company in Spain.

In the Affiliate Awards categories, BetanDeal, Betting Hero, Casino.online, Checkd Group, Gambling.com Group and XLMedia received nominations in two of the three existing categories – Affiliate Product Innovation, Casino Affiliate of the Year, and Sports Affiliate of the Year. It’s great that last year’s winners, Gambling.com Group for Casino Partner of the Year and Better Collective for Sports Partner of the Year, are again finalists competing for their respective titles. They have a chance to prove their superiority again.

Twelve operators compete for the prestigious Casino Operator of the Year award, including last year’s winner, the Betsson Group. There are eleven companies in the Sportsbook Operator of the Year category, including last year’s winner bet365, as well as Betsson Group, Kaizen Gaming, LeoVegas Group, Novibet and Sisal Italia SpA, who were also nominated for both awards.

Other operator categories include Esports Operator of the Year, Best Affiliate Program, Eastern European/Western European/Northern European/Southern European Operator of the Year, Rising Star in Sports Betting/Casino, Innovation in Casino & Gaming Entertainment, and Marketing Campaign of the Year.

In the three Payment & Compliance categories – Fraud & Compliance Solution of the Year, Payment Innovation of the Year, and Payment Solution of the Year — Aircash, MiFinity, Trustly, OKTO and Pay4Fun were shortlisted twice . Last year’s winners, Trustly (Payment Innovation of the Year and Payment Solution of the Year) and IDnow (Fraud and Compliance Solution of the Year), are back in the same categories.

The vendor category, Casino/Slots Developer of the Year, features 16 game development companies competing for the prestigious trophy. Shortlisted finalists include Amusnet, Endorphina, Pragmatic Play, Yggdrasil and Relax Gaming. They submitted their applications and are now waiting for the results of the awards.

There are 12 nominees in the Sportsbook Supplier of the Year category, and there are 16 other categories honoring Acquisition & Retention Partners, Esports Providers, Industry Innovations, Land-Based and Gaming Products, Live Casino Providers, Multi-Channel Providers, Platform Solutions, Sports information products, virtual sports providers, white label solutions, and marketing and service providers.

In addition, there will be two Rising Star categories, Rising Star in Casino Innovation and Rising Star in Sports Betting Innovation, which will recognize promising players making a significant impact on the industry. These awards celebrate the important impact of new and promising participants on the development of the gaming and betting industry.

As part of the Operator and Supplier Awards, nominees such as Betsson Group, Bragg Gaming, Entain Foundation US, EPIC Risk Management, Mindway AI, OPAP and Videoslots are up for the Socially Responsible Initiative of the Year award.

The Leader of the Year will feature 19 outstanding industry leaders from companies such as Flutter International, Greentube, Sportingtech, PIN-UP Global and Evoplay. In addition, 16 companies will compete for the prestigious Employer of the Year award.
