Flutter has announced the rebranding of its PokerStars VR game to Vegas Infinite as part of an extensive update to the free-to-play social casino video game.
The VR product developed by PokerStars has introduced a new feature — a 3D virtual cityscape, specially created for players. In this Vegas Infinite city, players can enjoy private gaming suites, luxury casinos and exclusive rooftop getaways.
The company also clarified that Vegas Infinite will be available on a new platform in the near future, allowing PC players to join players on Steam VR and Meta Quest VR without the need for a headset.
Since PokerStars VR first launched in 2018, the product has been continually improving, a process that was accelerated by the brand’s acquisition of Flutter in 2021.
Since its initial launch in 2018, PokerStars VR has continued strong development, which was accelerated by the acquisition of the brand by Flutter in 2021.
The company has expanded its diverse gaming portfolio to include blackjack, roulette, slot machines, craps and its own Rocket Rush. It also attracted poker fans with Spin & Go games, MTT games and the introduction of its flagship poker tournament series, the Metaverse Poker Tour (MPT).
«The virtual destination has also grown to include personal suites and dressing rooms, a luxury casino floor in Casino One, The Gallery casino exclusive to high-rollers, and The Rooftop, a subscriber-only rooftop escape overlooking the soaring Vegas Infinite cityscape», — PokerStars spokesperson explained in a release.
The group also expressed that player safety is a priority, highlighting that the development of Vegas Infinite used ToxMod, an AI-powered chat monitoring tool, to further support the moderation team.
