According to the Open Budget portal, the Casino Crystal company, founded in March of this year, received a casino license in Kyrgyzstan by paying 84 million soms.
This is already the second casino license issued in Kyrgyzstan so far.
According to the information provided by a representative of Casino Crystal, who wished to remain anonymous, the casino has already begun its work.
The first casino in Kyrgyzstan to which a license was issued was Grand Casino LLC. In the summer of 2022, the ban on casinos that had been in force since 2012 was lifted in Kyrgyzstan. However, last year several protests against the legalization of gambling took place in the cities of Osh and Bishkek.
The country’s authorities, led by the president, argued that the new law would attract investors and bring additional revenue to the state budget. One of the arguments was the introduction of a ban on visiting gambling establishments by citizens of Kyrgyzstan and foreigners under 21 years of age.
