Ukrainian Court Froze Parimatch’s Lawsuit Against RBC-Ukraine

On December 22, the Supreme Court, part of the Economic Court of Cassation, postponed the consideration of the claim of Rillius Holding Limited and BTB Betlab Holdings, associated with Parimatch, against the RBC-Ukraine news agency to January 23 due to an investigation into the bookmaker’s connections with the Russian Federation. This information is confirmed by data from the Unified Register of Court Decisions, which journalists refer to.

The latest data shows that the previous meeting took place on December 19, while the Parimatch trial against Ukrainian journalists has already been going on since August 2022.

According to the agency, on July 25, 2023, Parimatch was defeated in the appeal court, as a result of which the decision became final. The court confirmed the accuracy of the journalistic investigation regarding Parimatch’s connections with Russia.

The Commission for the Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries of Ukraine appealed to the National Security Council and law enforcement agencies because of Parimatch’s attempts to circumvent sanctions related to their ties with Russia, RBC-Ukraine reported.
