Betsson and OKTO: Partnership for Convenient Offline Payments

Betsson Group is teaming up with Greek fintech company OKTO in a new partnership.

Leading Swedish sports betting operator, renowned in the Greek gaming scene, integrates OKTO.CASH service for convenient cash and digital transactions.

Betsson will benefit from the OKTO.CASH network of over 13,000 points of sale throughout Greece. This solution is specifically designed keeping in mind the needs of the local market and provides convenience to online users who prefer offline transactions.

Andreas Nikolopoulos, Head of Marketing Greece of Betsson Group, commented: “OKTO delivers tailored payment methods that meet the unique needs of each market. The e-cash payment solution presented by OKTO promises Betsson customers in Greece a convenient and user-friendly top-up experience. Trust and integrity stand at the forefront of the relationship with OKTO. For Greece, the collaboration with OKTO originated from a shared commitment to providing an ideal solution for users who prefer offline transactions with cash while enjoying online experiences.By enabling users to instantly top up their online accounts in a fast, easy, and secure manner, Betsson enhances the overall customer experience”.

This agreement strengthens OKTO’s position in the gaming sector not only in Greece, but throughout Europe. Particularly worth highlighting is the company’s active 2023: establishing partnerships in Italy and obtaining regulatory approval in Germany.

Galina Bineva, OKTO’s Commercial Director, expressed: “We are thrilled with our partnership with Betsson Group and fully aligned with our partner, having a commitment to a local and personalised approach. For us here at OKTO, it’s essential to highlight the importance of understanding customers’ payment preferences and providing payment methods tailored not only to regional needs but also to different audiences within the same region.”

OKTO is active not only in Europe, but also in Latin America. In Brazil, where President Lulo da Silva recently approved the legislative framework for the national gaming market, the company has established a partnership with the Brazilian Institute of Responsible Gaming (IBJR).
