Real Madrid football legend Luis Figo is expanding his influence in the gaming industry by taking on the role of ambassador for Portuguese online casino and sports betting operator Lebull.
The Ballon d’Or winner will therefore represent the newly created operator while continuing its partnership with gaming platform provider Digitain.
Figo will now become the face of Lebull as the company continues its expansion into the promising online gambling market in Portugal. Last year, Lebull successfully launched its operations with compliance with the 27th and 28th licenses of the Portuguese regulator SRIJ.
Luis Figo commented on his new role: “I embrace this partnership with Lebull.pt with great motivation! I want to help the brand gain recognition for its trust, transparency, quality of service and for providing its customers with a great experience”.
Luis Figo and Lebull announced they were working together to “raise awareness of responsible gaming in betting and casinos.” Both sides called the move a “moment of great excitement”.
Tiago Pereira, General Manager of Lebull.pt, remarked, “We are very excited to welcome one of the best players ever to grace Portuguese football. It is a great honor to have Luis Figo associated with Lebull.pt. I believe this marks the beginning of a successful partnership”.
Lebull aims to capitalize on Luis Figo’s influence, much like Digitain did. Last year, Digitain showcased itself at the SBC Summit in Barcelona, accompanied by the former Portugal international.
During the summit, Luis Figo participated in the iGaming Daily podcast, discussing his role at Digitain and reflecting on his time with Spain’s top football clubs.
