Elon Musk is expanding the capabilities of his platform, X (formerly Twitter), according to information from the American magazine Fortune. He has decided to implement sports betting functions and has already signed an agreement with the betting company BetMGM.
Information about the integration of sports betting on Elon Musk’s X platform has not yet received official confirmation.
According to Fortune, details about the contract amount are not disclosed. Platform X’s website, currently hosted at Twitter.com, is expected to offer sports odds as well as a link to BetMGM for those wishing to place a bet.
The information about the deal was posted just two weeks before the start of one of the most anticipated tournaments in the United States – the Super Bowl (the final championship game in the National Football League will take place on February 11). According to US media, this year’s Super Bowl could attract a record 50.4 million bettors in the US alone. Interestingly, the bulk of the bets may not be focused on the winner of the final match but on bets related to in-game episodes.
