Entain has announced the launch of its first data academy which will look to upskill its employees.
The initiative aims to establish three criterias: Giving its people the opportunity to upskill, learn how best to use data to drive business success, and supporting the development of STEM[1] roles across the company.
Satty Bhens, Chief Product & Technology Officer at Entain, commented: “Knowledge of data, and how to apply it, is an incredibly powerful tool – and it’s important for everyone across our business to feel empowered to make the best data-driven decisions.”
In detail, the Data Academy kicks off with an initial 20 colleagues in the UK and will offer courses for both data novices looking to learn new skills and incorporate data into the way they work, as well as data professionals looking to advance their skills and get access to best-in-class training to further their learning.
The courses last between 13 and 14 months and provide ‘dedicated weekly learning opportunities’ for employees.
LSE-listed Entain highlighted that this will include access to industry-leading content, personalised coaching, and events, adding that employees will complete the programme with either a Level 3 Data Technician or Level 4 Data Analyst qualification.
Bhens concluded: “This programme will give our colleagues great opportunities to train, grow their careers with us, and help set the business up for future success.
“We’re excited to see our colleagues taking part in the programme become data champions and hope to see the Data Academy get bigger and better in the years to come.”Don’t forget to subscribe to our Telegram channel!
