The board of Flutter Entertainment Plc has confirmed that David Lazzarato will not seek re-election as an independent Non-Executive Director (NED) of the FTSE100 and NYSE gambling group.
The decision comes ahead of Flutter’s scheduled annual general meeting (AGM) on 1 May 2024, in which Lazzarato will resign from all duties as corporate NED.
An expert in financial planning and risk management of PLCs, Lazzarato served as the former Director and Chair of Auditing for The Stars Group Inc (TAG).
In 2019, Lazzarato was maintained as a corporate NED in the merger of Paddy Power Betfair with TSG, the transformative £5bn deal which subsequently formed Flutter Entertainment Plc.
Informing investors of the directorate change, John Bryant, Chair of Flutter, commented: “I wish to take this opportunity to thank David for his exceptional contribution to the Board over the past eight years. We wish David well for the future”.
Following the AGM, Nancy Cruickshank, another NED, will replace David Lazzarato as Chair of the Risk and Sustainability Committee and as a member of the Audit Committee.
Further board changes will see Cruickshank replaced by Nancy Dubuc on Flutter’s Compensation and Human Resources Committee, who will take on further duties as a new member of the Risk and Sustainability Committee.
Flutter will publish its full-year 2023 results on 26 March, declaring its first results since its secondary-listing on the NYSE on 29 January.
