Gambling boom: Croatia Increased its Revenue to 310 Million Euros Last Year

The Croatian Tax Administration has emphasized that gambling proceeds are used to finance programs of organizations promoting the development of sports and the fight against drug addiction and other forms of addiction.

According to the Tax Administration, in 2021 the state budget received 190.5 million euros in taxes and fees from gambling, in 2022 – 251.1 million euros, so last year was a record with 310.7 million euros.

Gambling operators reported 1,330 betting points and 3,608 self-service terminals in December 2021, 1,302 betting points and 3,642 self-service terminals in December 2022, and 1,294 betting points and 3,743 self-service terminals in 2023.

Also, the total payouts in betting games in 2021 amounted to 564 million euros, in 2022 – 681.3 million, and in 2023 – 882.9 million euros.
