The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has announced that it has revoked the license of Rush Gaming, which was issued under license number MGA/B2C/701/2019.
This decision, effective from 11 March 2024, is based on provisions 9(1)(c) and 10(1)(a) of the Gambling Compliance and Enforcement Rules.
As a result of the cancellation of the license, Rush Gaming was ordered to implement certain measures within seven days from the date of entry into force of this decision.
Firstly, Rush Gaming is required to notify all affected players via email, as well as pay all outstanding fees, which must be submitted to the Malta Gaming Authority.
In addition, the company is required to immediately remove any references to the MGA and its licenses in accordance with section 51 of the Gambling Act (Cap. 583 of the Laws of Malta).
Finally, Rush Gaming retains the right to appeal against this decision in accordance with section 43(1) of the Law.
The MGA’s decision to suspend Rush Gaming’s authorization in January this year forced the company to refund all players in accordance with Maltese law, despite ceasing gaming operations.
However, the company continued to provide access ford v to player accounts to streamline the refund process.
At the end of January, Charles Mizzi was appointed CEO of MGA.
