Betano has been named the new shirt sponsor of Aston Villa FC, according to The Telegraph.
Starting next season, the Greek online sports betting platform is reportedly paying £20m a year for two years, which coincides with the Premier League club’s latest Adidas kit launch.
As the top flight side pushes for a Champions League place under manager Unai Emery, the report claimed that the Betano deal is worth more than twice the current partnership with Chinese online betting company BK8.
It was in January this year that Villa agreed the kit manufacturer deal with Adidas as the club looked to drop its deal with Castore after its ‘wet-look’ kits led to criticism from players.
Villa partners with the Kaizen Gaming-owned operator as online sports betting sponsorships remains an option for Premier League clubs until the end of the 2025/26 season.
Betano has also recently signed a deal with UEFA to be one of the global sponsors of Euro 2024.
