Scientific Games, with a presence in Georgia and Kazakhstan, appointed Bresnahan as Director of Communications

Beth Bresnahan, who previously held the position of vice president of strategic communications for Scientific Games, has been promoted to chief communications and brand officer. The company is present in Eastern Europe, providing its services in Georgia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Greece and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

With extensive experience in the gaming industry, Bresnahan has held leadership roles at the Massachusetts Lottery for nearly a decade, including executive director and head of the District of Columbia Lottery and Gaming Office. She joined Scientific Games in 2022.

Scientific Games CEO Pat McHugh commented: “This promotion is not surprising to those familiar with Beth and her work. Her strategic vision, extensive experience in brand communications, and deep knowledge of the gaming and lottery industry have earned her the respect and support of our entire company and leadership team.”

In her new role, Bresnahan will enhance the strategic control of Scientific Games’ global communications, ensuring a consistent and strong brand presence across all platforms and regions. She will continue to lead external and internal communications and client offerings while expanding her responsibilities to include advertising, trade shows, and events.

The company recently merged its legal and public policy departments into a single global unit, hired several key systems and technology personnel, and increased its focus on product, technology, analytics, and marketing in both retail and digital sectors.

Bresnahan brings nearly 25 years of experience in developing effective communications, marketing, and business strategies for public and private sector organizations. In addition to her lottery industry experience, she was the CEO of a regional print publication and provided strategic communications consulting to major brands such as the Boston Red Sox, BJ’s Wholesale Club, Citizens Financial Group, and Wynn Resorts.

Scientific Games also announced an expanded partnership with the New York Lottery, beginning to provide instant scratch games to players in the state. The New York Lottery, one of the most profitable in North America, reported $4.4 billion in revenue for the 2022-2023 fiscal year, with Scientific Games as a major supplier.
