The Ukrainian Gambling Commission in cooperation with the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), ordered the blocking of 433 illegal gaming sites.

Gaming Innovation Group Inc. (GiG), a leading entity in digital marketing and media for the online gaming sector, has announced the acquisition of Casinomeister. Additionally, GiG has appointed Phil Richards as chief financial officer for Platform and Sportsbook. Richards brings a wealth of financial experience in gaming, cybersecurity, and accounting to the company. 

Digitain, a leader in the sports betting and iGaming industry, is expanding its presence in Africa with BetJara, a Nigerian operator, providing an integrated sports betting and casino solution.

The European Federation of Gambling and Entertainment (EUROMAT) included the Bulgarian Association for Responsible Gaming (SBAOH) among its member countries at its annual general meeting held on May 29 in Belgrade. Additionally, CT Interactive has strengthened its presence in the Bulgarian online casino market by entering into an agreement with BetHub, the new slot operator in the country.

The State Revenue Committee (SRC) of the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan has reported the annual income of local gambling establishments. According to the Committee, in 2022, the total annual income of taxpayers engaged in activities in the field of gambling and betting amounted to $2.36 billion (1.05 trillion tenge). While in May Macau’s gaming industry’s gross gaming revenue (GGR) reached its highest level since the pandemic. Macau’s total GGR for the past month was $2.52 billion, up 29 percent year-on-year.

Flutter Group‘s CFO and CEO, Paul Edgecliffe-Johnson, has stepped down prior to the company’s initial listing on the New York Stock Exchange. Additionally, TIME announced that Flutter was named one of the 100 most influential companies of 2024.

The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) to enhance their collaboration in gambling regulation. While St8.io has received a Notice of Recognition from MGA, allowing it to expand its access to MGA-regulated markets.

Following an agreement with Rizk, SYNOT Games has signed a deal with Zecure Gaming. Betby has partnered with esports solutions provider Oddin.gg to power its global iFrame technology, which now includes content from Betby solutions across Betby.Games esports channels.

Incentive Games and bet365 have announced the release of two new games for UEFA Euro 2024 and Copa America 2024. Additionally, RubyPlay has partnered with Kaizen Gaming’s Betano in Brazil to introduce an exclusive, special edition of Immortal Ways for the Copa America. 

Amusnet, a leading provider of innovative gaming solutions, has announced its new strategic alliance with Italian operator Vincitù. While Altenar has partnered with esports betting provider DATA.BET to provide cutting-edge, customizable esports solutions to licensed operators around the world.

Fortuna Entertainment Group has entered into a new agreement with games provider ESA Gaming, enabling the distribution of ESA Gaming’s entire portfolio across the European market.

Stake.com owners Ed Craven and Bijan Tehrani have acquired over 16 million shares in PointsBet, bringing their stake to just under 5.01%.

Wazdan has increased its market share in Romania by partnering with winmasters. While NetBet Sport, a renowned online sports betting operator, is pleased to announce the launch of Bet AI Assistant, an artificial intelligence-powered betting assistant. Created by NetBet’s machine learning and AI experts, Bet AI Assistant is an innovation designed to improve the user experience and streamline the betting process.
