Betfair has revealed former Newcastle United and England striker Alan Shearer as its latest ambassador ahead of Euro 2024.
Shearer, who was a Premier League champion with Blackburn Rovers in the 1994/95 season and a two-time Premier League Golden Foot winner, also clinched the Golden Shoe at Euro 96.
During the 2024 European Championship in Germany, Shearer will appear in the Betfair studio, providing analysis of the matches and assessing England’s chances of winning the tournament this summer.
UK bettors are now focusing on the football scene as England kicks off their European campaign against Serbia on Sunday.
The UEFA European Football Championship 2024 will take place in Germany from June 14 to July 14, with England competing in Group C alongside Serbia, Denmark, and Slovenia.
