With the gaming and sports betting industry continually evolving through the emergence of innovative technologies, platforms and new markets, the upcoming SBC Summit in Lisbon will offer the 25,000 delegates the latest leadership strategies to drive professional growth and global success for brands.
A special conference track on Global Leadership will run throughout the three days of the SBC Summit, which will take place from 24 to 26 September at the Feira Internacional de Lisboa.
Participants can expect a variety of discussions focusing on leadership and key issues such as how to use artificial intelligence (AI) wisely and effectively, optimal marketing strategies for iGaming, the impact of the global economy on gaming industry investment, innovation in traditional lotteries for the digital age and much more.
Highlighting the event’s global reach, the educational program will also include dedicated leadership panels targeting key markets such as Africa, Asia, Brazil, Eurasia, Italy, Latin America, North America, Portugal and Spain.
Rasmus Sojmark, SBC CEO and Founder, commented: “When you look at the numerous companies driving innovation and advancing the industry, a common factor stands out: exceptional and unique leadership. Apart from equipping our delegates with the necessary tools for success, we emphasize the thought processes and, most importantly, the attitude essential for both personal and professional development. I look forward to hosting the industry’s brightest leaders this September to share these insights with our delegates. The opening day of the track will focus on the emerging technologies, marketing strategies, and payment options impacting global markets. Discussions will explore new technologies, trends, and talent set to disrupt the industry over the next decade, the impact of global regulations on the use of alternative currencies like crypto in gambling, and developing effective iGaming marketing strategies centered on brand and customer engagement.”
Additionally, the first day of the summit will see the return of the First Pitch competition, where five industry startups will pitch their products and services to investors and a live audience, competing for the chance to win an exclusive prize package worth over €60,000.
On the second day of the summit, delegates will gain a global view of the industry through in-depth analysis of key markets, which will include insights from leading experts in these regions. Highlights include an assessment of the first six months of new sports betting regulation in Brazil, an examination of the growing Eurasian iGaming market, a discussion of regulatory prospects in Africa, strategies for Latin American operators to achieve harmonized regulation and initiatives to stimulate economic growth in Asia despite recent headwinds in the field of regulation.
The final day of the summit will mainly focus on financial and regulatory issues affecting global markets. On this day, delegates will have the opportunity to learn how global inflation pressures are affecting mergers and acquisitions, what implications recent Italian rules have for market potential, and how effective Portugal’s regulatory model is in tackling unregulated activity.
In addition to the Global Leadership track, delegates can explore a multitude of educational programmes through the Sports Betting Zone, Casino & iGaming Zone and Player Protection Zone, the Media Headquarters and dedicated Affiliate Leaders, Payment Expert & ESI Lisbon Summits. Each area will include a dedicated show floor, targeted networking sessions, catering options, and a focused educational program.
