La Liga has signed a three-year deal with Luckia as its main gaming and entertainment partner. As part of the agreement, the company will actively promote itself as an international sponsor of La Liga in Spain and the Mexican market.
It marks the largest sponsorship commitment by joining La Liga’s international roster of sponsors, including Microsoft, El Corte Inglés, Mahou, and Puma.
José González, President of Luckia, underlined the importance of this sponsorship in strengthening the brand’s presence in Spain and promoting it within the eight international markets where Luckia operates.
González stated: “This agreement reinforces Luckia’s commitment to sports and the promotion of values such as teamwork, perseverance, and excellence, which are typical of football.”
Starting with the La Liga 2024/2025 season, Luckia will promote its brand through ambassadors, exclusive official merchandising, ticketing, and more, using their online and retail channels while complying fully with the regulations of Spain and Mexico.
Luckia will also activate its brand by promoting it through La Liga’s digital assets, including La Liga EA Sports competitions and new Hypermotion rights for both countries.
Jorge de la Vega, CEO of La Liga, supports this sponsorship agreement with Luckia, a ‘Spanish giant’ that employs 2,500 staff across eight countries. He said, “We are convinced this collaboration will bring us even closer to our followers in Spain and Mexico, and together, we will continue to create a safe and responsible entertainment environment.”
Luckia concluded its sponsorship announcement with CMO David Plumi reaffirming the firm’s commitment to promoting safer gambling. Plumi highlighted that La Liga’s digital audience reaches 200 million followers on social networks worldwide, across 16 platforms and in 20 different languages.
CMO Plumi said: “To join the best football league in the world marks a new era for Luckia. Our company is experiencing massive international expansion, and this agreement solidifies our position as a market leader in Spain.”
