Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) has announced the immediate appointment of Andreas Söneby to its Platform Board of Directors.
Söneby, a prominent figure in the igaming and technology industries, brings extensive experience to GiG as the company finalizes the strategic separation of its media and platform businesses.
He has held several high-level positions, including Chief Information Officer at Kambi, where he oversaw the company’s technology strategy and led a team of over 300 professionals.
At Unibet Group plc, Söneby served as Chief Technology Officer and IT Director, showcasing his ability to manage complex operations and drive strategic initiatives for a leading multi-market gambling group.
Beyond the gaming industry, Söneby has held executive roles at companies such as White Hat Gaming and Instabox. He is currently a Venture Partner at Industrifonden, where he helps shape the future of IT and technology across various sectors.

Söneby replaces Tomasz Juroszek on the GiG Platform Board, joining Petter Nylander (Chair), Hessi Mocca, Mikael Riese Harstad, and Nicolas Adlercreutz.
The GiG Platform Board remains a temporary committee focused on the Platform & Sportsbook vertical until the planned spin-off.
