The SBC Summit in Lisbon will take place from 24th to 26th September and will bring together 25,000 participants from around the world. The Summit aims to improve media engagement by creating a dedicated Media Headquarters that will serve as a key platform for operators, suppliers and affiliates to connect with journalists from leading industry publications.

PIN-UP Global has transformed its international business into a holding company specializing in gambling, with a focus on technology, B2B solutions and product innovation.

Parimatch has become the new betting partner of Nottingham Forest in the UK for the 2024/25 season of the Premier League. While Queen Casino has been announced as an official partner of Borussia Mönchengladbach, as the club seeks to expand its footprint in the Asian market.

​​As the Europa League and the Europa Conference League are preparing for the start of a new era, UEFA has announced Kaizen Gaming and its premium brand Betano as official global sponsor of the two tournaments.

Betsson has announced a new global sponsorship deal with Premier Padel. The long-term deal with the official professional padel tour will see the operator become the main sponsor. Additionally, a Betsson spokesperson confirmed that the company is ending its operations in Colorado, where it operated under the Betsafe brand.

​​Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) has announced the immediate appointment of Andreas Söneby to its Platform Board of Directors.

Sports betting supplier BETBY has extended its partnership with 4rabet for the provision of premium sportsbook solutions, now with an enhanced focus on growth in Asia. While GGPoker has announced a new partnership with PokerArabia, the only government-licensed online poker platform in the Middle East.

The government of Sweden has granted additional powers to the Gambling Inspectorate, Spelinspektionen, to intervene directly in cases of ‘excessive online gambling.’ While the Belgian government has been urged to provide more funding and resources to the Kansspelcommissie to enhance Gambling Commission’s enforcement of new regulations and combat illegal gambling websites.

Damian Collins, the former secretary of state for technology, the digital economy and gambling, has said that “urgent legislative action” is needed to control the growth of the offshore gambling market.

The Alliance for Gambling Reform (AGR) launched a campaign targeting the shareholders of Australian TV networks to support a blanket ban on gambling advertising. While the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has reported that over 28,000 people have signed up for its national online self-exclusion service, BetStop, since its launch in August last year.

Additionally, BlueBet announced that its decision to exit the US market was due to slower-than-expected regulatory advancements, which have impeded overall market growth and reduced interest in its B2B SaaS platform, once considered a key growth opportunity.
