This week, the SBC Summit takes place in Lisbon, gathering 25,000 delegates participating in hundreds of events across the Portuguese capital, significantly impacting the city’s economy.
The main events of the SBC Summit are held at venues such as Feira Internacional de Lisboa (FIL), MEO Arena, Myriad by SANA Hotel, and Casino Lisboa. Numerous dinners and parties organized by SBC and its partners also take place.
The four-day event, running from Monday, September 23, to Thursday, September 26, 2024, at FIL, occupies over 110,000 square meters of exhibition and conference space, featuring more than 600 exhibitors and over 600 expert speakers.
Looking at the nine main elements of the event, it is clear that the SBC Summit rivals well-known technology conferences in its impact on the city. Among the elements showcased this week are:

Rasmus Sojmark, the Founder and CEO of SBC, noted: “The response to the SBC Summit has been incredible. The SBC Leaders Summit is completely sold out, as is the SBC Football Championship at the Benfica Stadium. We expect a full house for the SBC Poker Championship, and a record 1,300 guests will attend the SBC Awards. There will be over 5,000 participants at the Infinity Lisbon closing party. All the leading figures will gather in Lisbon this week.”
SBC has also invited several world-renowned personalities to Lisbon, allowing delegates to hear their unique insights on the path to success or enjoy their performances at Infinity Lisbon. Among them are:

Sojmark added, “It’s no surprise that the demand for the summit is so high, considering the prominent personalities we are inviting to Lisbon. This is part of our commitment to providing maximum value for our delegates.”
Anticipating high interest in the SBC Summit, the organization enlisted the local event management provider Leading.pt to assist with the transition to the new venue, and the company expressed satisfaction with the event’s impact.
Managing partner of Leading.pt, João Paulo Oliveira, noted that the demand for hotel rooms in Lisbon is impressive for a new event in the city. “I haven’t seen such high demand for an event in a long time. Lisbon is packed with people heading to FIL.”
