Melco Resorts & Entertainment has announced the opening of a sales office in Cyprus, home to its integrated resort City of Dreams Mediterranean, with the aim of increasing the number of international tourists to Macau.
This news follows a presentation held by Melco on September 17 at City of Dreams Mediterranean, which was designed to raise interest among the local business and tourism community in Macau as a travel destination.
The presentation was part of the “Illuminate Your Path to Macau” campaign and attracted around 150 participants, including representatives from the Republic of Cyprus and Macau SAR governments, travel agencies, business associations, and media from Europe and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
Emphasizing its efforts to promote Macau as a global hub for tourists and business travelers, Melco stated that it had already opened sales offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, and the Philippines. It is now focused on establishing a sales office in Cyprus, targeting clients from Europe and the Middle East.
Commenting on the offsite event, Melco Chairman and CEO Lawrence Ho said, “As a prominent integrated resort operator deeply rooted in Macau, we are thrilled to host our second ‘Glow Your Way to Macao’ event at City of Dreams Mediterranean. It serves as a testament to our support for the SAR government’s drive to attract further international travelers the city, and to expand Macau’s visitor sources in alignment with the ‘1+4’ diversified development strategy.

We are thrilled to support the Macau government’s efforts to promote the city’s gastronomy, sporting events, culture, heritage and the creative arts as it continues to diversify and bloom.

Melco hosted the first of its “Glow Your Way to Macao” events in the Philippines at City of Dreams Manila in October 2023.
