Virgin Bet has extended its sponsorship deal with The Jockey Club, continuing as title sponsor of a series of races across a number of UK racecourses.
The series will span six days of racing, starting with Virgin Bet Sun Chariot Day at Newmarket Racecourse on 5 October, followed by Halloween Sunday at Aintree on 27 October.
The series will continue next year with events at Sandown in February and three major racing days at Kempton Park, including one the day after the Cheltenham Festival.
This ongoing partnership aims to strengthen Virgin Bet’s position in the UK racing industry, with racing to be shown on both ITV and Racing TV.
As part of the sponsorship, Virgin Bet’s personal safety partner WalkSafe will be heavily featured on race days. Founded in 2020, WalkSafe offers a free app that helps users plan safe routes and provides additional safety features.
Dominic Vye, Marketing Director at Virgin Bet, commented: “As a brand deeply rooted in the passion for British horse racing, we are thrilled to extend our partnership with The Jockey Club.
“This ongoing collaboration allows us to continue supporting and showcasing the exceptional talent of jockeys, trainers, and horses and to celebrate the rich traditions of the sport while delivering memorable experiences for racing fans.”
Daniel Glavin, Bookmaker Partnerships Manager at The Jockey Club, added: “We’re delighted to have Virgin Bet’s Personal Safety Partner WalkSafe integrated as part of their sponsorships with us.
“The experience and safety for all spectators at our racecourses is a priority, so it’s fantastic to see this as part of Virgin Bet’s ‘A Good Bet’ initiatives, which aims to create a more inclusive and welcoming environment for all.”
