Sportradar is aiming to enhance the engagement experience for NBA fans with the launch of a new set of innovative solutions.
Targeting the basketball league’s two billion global fanbase, the products will add value to the NBA’s content consumption, with new opportunities also benefiting operators and media partners looking to capitalize on the competition’s popularity.
Through leveraging AI and its proprietary technology, Sportradar will introduce new exclusive features to be integrated into NBA’s DNA, such as skeletal tracking data. This will be done through hundreds of data feeds collected from each game, unlocking new revenue streams for the league and Sportradar’s clients by reimagining the standards of fan engagement.
Looking into the new solutions, the ‘Virtualized Live Match Tracker’ is a tool that leverages computer vision to turn real-time NBA data into 3D visualizations, offering customisable viewing angles and additional in-play betting opportunities for operators to add to their service portfolio.
Another exclusive is the addition of ‘4Sight Streaming’, which first launched for tennis but is now also available for basketball. It generates animated overlays, enriching the viewing experience and making real-time betting decisions more engaging for viewers.
Moving on, the ‘NBA Advanced Visualisation’ utilizes the skeletal tracking data feeds mentioned above, creating 3D animations, heat maps and player metrics to add a dynamic element to the court storytelling of media companies.
Finally, ‘emBET’ is an official NBA product which allows bettors to actively monitor their wagers. It was first introduced as part of the NBA League Pass earlier this year but is now expanded to a wider range of devices, such as smart TVs and Android-supported devices.
Eric Conrad, EVP, Rights & Strategic Partnerships – USA & Latam at Sportradar, noted: “Sportradar is committed to deepening our longstanding partnership with the NBA, while also supporting betting operators and media companies in capitalizing on the immense global popularity of the league.
“Sportradar’s proprietary technology, underpinned by the application of powerful AI to deep data, continues to reimagine how fans interact with the NBA. We are excited by what the future holds, driven by our constant innovation.”
