The WSOP Circuit event will be held at Holland Casino Amsterdam Centrum from March 14-22, 2025.
The WSOP International Circuit has been held in the Netherlands since 2017 at Holland Casino locations in Rotterdam, and more recently in Venlo, which is included in the program.
“With the WSOP, we have succeeded in bringing another strong international poker brand to Holland Casino Amsterdam Centrum,” commented Pieter Boers, Director of Gaming & Services at Holland Casino.
“I think we will make all poker-loving Netherlands very happy.”
Holland Casino has ended its partnership with WPT. WPT Amsterdam ran from 2015 to 2024, with the exception of 2021 due to COVID.
Gregory Chochon, COO of the WSOP, added: “The players have shown that they deserve a second Circuit event in the Netherlands. We are excited to bring the World Series of Poker to Amsterdam.
“Holland Casino Amsterdam Centrum is an excellent location in a beautiful city. We expect a great turnout.”
In October, Caesars Entertainment completed the sale of the WSOP brand intellectual property rights to GGPoker parent company NSUS Group.
The deal closed for $500 million, equivalent to $250 million in cash and a $250 million promissory note payable five years after closing, secured by the WSOP intellectual property assets being sold.
While Caesars sold the WSOP to NSUS, the operator will continue its relationship with the poker brand for several years to come, both in land-based and online formats. Additionally, several WSOP executives will also assume leadership roles within the NSUS structure.
