Yggdrasil has strengthened its influence in the cryptocurrency gaming market through a partnership with CoinCasino.
As part of this agreement, Yggdrasil’s portfolio, including proprietary slots and games from third-party developers under the YGG Masters initiative, will be integrated into the CoinCasino platform, which caters to blockchain-based players.
This move will enable the cryptocurrency casino operator to add slots such as 4 Fantastic Vikings Go Fishing — a slot developed by one of Yggdrasil’s YGG Masters partners — 4ThePlayer.
Jose Simon, Commercial Director at Yggdrasil, stated: “CoinCasino is one of the biggest names in the crypto gambling space. Launching our content on its site ensures we reach a new audience of players who prefer enjoying our games using cryptocurrencies.”
Sacha Pepermans, Game Operations Manager at CoinCasino, added: “The entire CoinCasino team is excited to see Yggdrasil and its partner studios added to our ever-growing portfolio.
“This marks another significant step toward providing a comprehensive gaming experience for our players, allowing them to enjoy a diverse range of their favourite games while we continue to prioritise quality and entertainment.”
SOFTSWISS recently conducted a study on the cryptocurrency gambling market, revealing that the share of bets made using altcoins—less popular cryptocurrencies—grew from 25.1% to 47% in the first nine months of 2024.
Meanwhile, Bitcoin’s share decreased by 22% during the same period, while Tether, Litecoin, and Ethereum showed growth of 8%, 7.8%, and 4.9%, respectively.
Vitali Matsukevich, Chief Operating Officer at SOFTSWISS, stated: “Integrating crypto payments allows igaming businesses to operate globally, delivering greater speed and convenience.
“With igaming’s naturally borderless reach, this expands platforms’ access to a wider international audience, boosting their global growth potential.”
