OpenBet has partnered with Swiss lottery and betting group Loterie Romande, which provides its services in the country’s French speaking regions (cantons).
The deal, which reinforces OpenBet’s links to members of the World Lottery Association (WLA), will see the provider supply Loterie Romande with online and retail betting tech and front-end solutions, whilst also supporting its migration from the current platform.
Jordan Levin, OpenBet CEO, stated: “This partnership with Loterie Romande reinforces our leadership in the lottery sector and showcases our ability to deliver world-class sports betting experiences to WLA members worldwide.
“With our proven expertise in sportsbook technology, risk management and regulatory compliance, including robust AML controls and player protection measures, we are confident that this partnership will meet the expectations of Loterie Romande.”
Loterie Romande will deliver a betting experience to Swiss players with an ‘advanced sportsbook platform designed for innovation and compliance’ using OpenBet’s technology.
This includes OpenBet’s digital front-end and support for Loterie Romande’s newly developed self-service betting terminals (SST), LoRoPlay+.
Loterie Romande will also access OpenBet’s Managed Trading Services which will power streamlined feed integration, providing real-time data delivery and optimised odds.
The deal comes shortly after OpenBet completed its management buyout from Endeavor, which had owned the company since a $1.2bn acquisition in 2021.
Following the buyout, the company stated that it would be targeting opportunities in the global lottery sector, with many state and private lotteries worldwide also doubling up as betting providers.
Jean-Luc Moner-Banet, CEO of Loterie Romande, commented: “Selecting OpenBet as our sportsbook provider and long-term partner represents a significant milestone for Loterie Romande, as we embark on this exciting new chapter.”
OpenBet currently powers over 20 lotteries globally, and has therefore been described as having ‘deep industry expertise’.
Moner-Banet added: “OpenBet’s world-class technology and unwavering commitment to responsible gaming, regulatory compliance, and continued use of advanced player protection tools empower us to continue our sportsbook offering in a safe and responsible way, ensuring strict adherence to AML standards and player welfare over the years to come.”
