Gamban Launches Finnish Language Support

Gamban has improved the accessibility of its gambling support with its services now available in the language of Finnish.

Players in Finland who need to consult an operator can do so without worrying about language being a barrier to finding tools to help them control their gambling.

Gamban services are now available in seven different languages: English, French, Spanish, Dutch, Brazilian Portuguese, Finnish and Norwegian. Finnish language services may be available to users after an update to the Gamban app.

“Language should never be a barrier to accessing help,” commented Jack Symons, CEO of Gamban.

“By introducing Finnish to Gamban, we’re ensuring that more people in Finland can access the tools they need. We hope this update makes the process of blocking gambling on devices more intuitive and effective.”

The expansion of Gamban’s Finnish-language services comes as the Finnish online gaming market is transitioning from a monopoly model with state-owned operator Veikkaus to a licensing system.

The Finnish government received parliamentary approval for changes to gambling laws and monopoly protection in March, with the new gambling regulatory framework set to be launched in 2027.

In Finland, Gamban has a partnership with Veikkaus, allowing it to distribute fully paid Gamban licenses to customers free of charge.

Susanna Saikkonen, Vice President of Sustainability at Veikkaus, added: “Veikkaus has built a comprehensive and unique safer gambling environment for our customers, and Gamban is an additional service to those who want to make a self-exclusion to all Veikkaus games.

“It’s also offered to customers with signs of risky behaviour when they are contacted through care calls. Gamban has been a really helpful service, and we are happy that it’s now available in Finnish.”
