Podcast Review: Nugzar Ramishvili on Trust, Adaptability, and Thinking Outside the Box in Shaping iGaming’s Future

In the fourth episode of iGaming Accent, the host Vakhtang Mdivani talks with the CEO of FortuneJack, Nugzar Ramishvili, who stepped into his new role just months ago.

Ramishvili recalls his past in the world of finance and emphasizes how the iGaming industry forced him out of his comfort zone, leading to personal and professional growth. He highlights the drive and belief that “if you do your best and if you think outside the box, nothing is really impossible.”

The conversation kicks off with Ramishvili recounting his unexpected entry into gaming in 2019, triggered by a CEO offer for Adjarabet AM, part of Flutter International. He candidly describes his initial experience as a “startup mode” despite the company’s large affiliation, highlighting a stark difference from his previous banking life with a memorable 3 a.m. incident call on his second day.

“On the second day, I got a telephone call around 3 a.m. Someone was telling me there was an incident during downtime. I was confused. What’s happening? For the past 12 years, everything used to shut down at 8 p.m.: the doors, the banks, everything. But this was the first time I realized I was in a completely different world: a 24/7 sector, a real startup environment. From that moment, I understood this was a whole new type of energy, a different mindset, and a completely different environment.”

Shortly after he started the new position, COVID-19 brought “crazy days,” requiring restructuring the business to work remotely, moving to chats, and implementing operational changes.

But “like I said, that time gave me a lot. It showed me the mindset I have right now. I earned it there during that time. And, actually, the drive we had together, and the belief that if you do your best and think outside the box, nothing is really impossible.”

As CEO of FortuneJack, Ramishvili’s role involves greater responsibility and global scaling, working with an Anjouan license and serving diverse customers worldwide. He stresses that FortuneJack’s primary strength is the trust earned over more than 10 years as a pioneer in the crypto gambling industry.

He said: “As for FortuneJack, it’s one of our core strengths as a brand. As you know, starting from 2014, FortuneJack has been a pioneer in the industry. And the trust we’ve earned over more than 10 years is one of our greatest achievements, and one of our most valuable assets.”

For new crypto casinos, Ramishvili believes that building trust “is one of the things that is not material and what you cannot buy”. Key factors include focusing on customer needs, safety of funds, seamless withdrawals, and a customer-centric mindset.

He emphasizes: “So time and trust, I believe, are the main things”.

Nugzar Ramishvili also delved into the importance of affiliate partnerships, strategy for attracting them, innovation in customer engagement, team management philosophy, and many more. He also responded to a question from a previous guest, 4H Agency’s Ivan Kurochkin, and posed one of his own for the next guest.
