Bookmaker Favbet becomes the title partner of Kyiv hockey club Sokil. The agreement was officially confirmed during a meeting between the club’s management, representatives of the bookmaker, and the coaching staff.
HC Sokil has a history spanning over 60 years, marked by victories and a dedication to the game. The team was founded in 1963. Since then, it has won 15 national championship titles, two Ukrainian Cups, and achieved numerous international successes. Today, one of the country’s most successful clubs is led by head coach Oleh Shafarenko.
“We are very glad that in such a difficult time for the country and for Ukrainian sports overall, we have gained a partner like Favbet. This cooperation will allow the team to move toward its goals – the Ukrainian Cup and gold medals of the Championship – with greater confidence and determination. We are sure this partnership will benefit both sides,” noted Viacheslav Letskan, Deputy Head of NGO Hockey Club Sokil Kyiv.
In the 2024/2025 season, Sokil finished first in the Ukrainian Championship after the regular season but stopped one step short of the final in the playoffs.
“For us, it is important to support teams that help build a strong Ukrainian sports community. Sokil deserves new achievements. We want the club to reach new heights together with Favbet,” said Favbet’s Head of Sport Marketing, Denys Yakymov.
Favbet is building systemic support for Ukrainian hockey. The new partnership opens additional opportunities for the club. Ihor Siruk, Director at Favbet, noted that the company sees long-term potential in working with the team.
