Jonas Groes Assumes the Role of Co-CEO at EveryMatrix

EveryMatrix has initiated changes to its leadership team in order to maintain its status as the fastest-growing technology provider in the online gaming sector.

Jonas Groes, the brother of EveryMatrix co-founder and long-time CEO Ebbe Groes, will take on the position of Co-CEO. Jonas will begin his duties at the start of the new year. He joins the company after 10 years as a Partner at Big Four auditing firm EY and its Nordic Consulting division. EveryMatrix aims to carry its successful business model from 2025 into 2026. The company operates based on a dual strategy.

The company’s strategy focuses on partnerships with leading tier-one operators. EveryMatrix provides them with fully customized turnkey platforms tailored to their large-scale requirements.

In 2024 and 2025, EveryMatrix signed a number of contracts with lottery and state operators. These include supplying a full suite of platform services to Szerencsejáték Zrt, Hungary’s state gambling company, as well as upgrading Svenska Spel’s online casino and gaming platform. In Denmark, Danske Spil has commissioned EveryMatrix to modernize its casino and slots solution, scheduled to launch in 2026.

Jonas Groes said: “Stepping into this role at EveryMatrix alongside my brother Ebbe is a dream come true. What he, Stian Hornsletten, and the rest of the team have built is nothing short of phenomenal and I’ve seen close hand just what it takes.

“We work well together and our differences and combined strengths complement one another. I can’t wait to get started.”

Since its founding in 2008, EveryMatrix specialized in sportsbook solutions. However, in the early 2010s, it expanded into the online sector, affiliate programmes, turnkey solutions, and player account management (PAM). Over the past year, the company has taken its dual strategy to the next level, signing major deals with leading industry companies and strengthening its partner portfolio.

Notable tier-one operators include bet365, which uses the SlotMatrix casino solution; FDJ United, which partnered with the PartnerMatrix Intelligence affiliate network; and LeoVegas, which joined the OddsMatrix sports betting platform.

The company intends to build on these achievements. Group CEO Ebbe Groes is confident that his brother’s experience and skills – gained through his work in consulting – will be extremely valuable in executing the company’s ambitious five-year plan.

The continued commercial success and growth across the lottery, sportsbook, and casino sectors has fueled speculation that EveryMatrix may pursue an IPO in the coming years. Many analysts view this as the next logical step in the expansion of the largest independent technology group.

Ebbe Groes remarked: “As the company’s growth continues, tripling our headcount in the last five years, and as we work with more of the largest gaming brands and lotteries, I needed to find someone who knows what it takes to scale a business and reach the ambitious targets we have for the next five years.

“Doing this means I will have more time to work on strategy and execute all the things we want to do to become a global top three tier-one technology provider by 2030.

“To share a CEO position requires complete trust at both personal and professional level. Jonas is the perfect candidate and I know he will go on to do amazing things at EveryMatrix. I’m very excited to soon be sharing the CEO position with him.”
