PopOK Gaming is reinforcing its expansion plans in Europe through a new strategic partnership with Tipico in Germany.
Under the agreement, Tipico users in the German market will now gain access to PopOK Gaming’s content portfolio.
PopOK Gaming CEO Karen Gulkanyan said the partnership goes beyond a formal collaboration, highlighting the combination of the company’s game development expertise with Tipico’s understanding of the German market and strong reputation among players.
Tipico remains one of the leading sports betting operators in Germany, with the group having been acquired by Banijay Group in April 2026.
Gulkanyan stated:“Working with Tipico is important to us because of who they are in the German market and the standards they operate by.
“Germany is not an easy environment, and that’s exactly why this cooperation matters. It reflects years of steady work behind the scenes and marks a point where PopOK Gaming is ready to operate alongside the most established names in Europe.”
The challenges highlighted by Gulkanyan are largely linked to the impact of the State Treaty on Gambling 2021 (GlüStV), which introduced new requirements, including monthly deposit limits for online casinos and a 5% betting tax for online operators.
However, critics of the regulation note that such strict restrictions may have contributed to the growth of the illegal market in the country.
Nevertheless, PopOK Gaming remains confident that the partnership will drive further expansion of its presence across Europe.
Earlier this year, the company’s Head of Partner Management, Tsovinar Elchyan, spoke about the approaches PopOK Gaming uses to adapt to stricter regulatory frameworks.
Elchyan said: “We addressed these challenges by investing early in compliance, building flexible game frameworks, and focusing on product differentiation.
“Strong communication with partners and faster internal processes also helped us stay agile in a fast-changing market environment.”
