As well as SBC Summit has launched the Regulatory Gaming Meetups, a new networking initiative that will connect delegates with regulators, market experts, and industry leaders from more than 20 gaming jurisdictions.

Armenia’s parliament has tightened regulation of the gambling industry, adopting amendments that provide for the swift blocking of illegal gaming websites through a dedicated online resource, as well as sharp restrictions on gambling advertising. Now it will be permitted only on the facades of buildings and in the offices of gambling companies.

Authorities in Kazakhstan have found significant success in targeting payment pathways to curtail illegal online gambling. While Bulgaria’s long-delayed 2026 budget is moving to the National Assembly for final approval with new measures aimed at gambling affiliates.

The Senate of the Republic of Italy has received the first ’comprehensive bill’ which aims to implement a “complete overhaul of the Italian football system” to restore trust and credibility to the national game. While the Hellenic Gambling Supervision and Control Commission (EEEP) has launched a tender, which will aim to appoint a ”specialist legal and technical partner” to strengthen player monitoring on Greece’s online gambling market.

The European Casino Association (ECA) has become the latest organisation to call for stronger cross-border enforcement against illegal online gambling. While issuing its 2025 annual report, the Maltese Gaming Authority (MGA) has revealed the prevalence of the issue of false licensing claims.

The Korea Communications Standards Commission (KCSC) has decided to wait for an official response from prediction market platform Polymarket before taking any action. While the Japanese market has its first major manufacturer, as Konami Gaming has set out its intentions to enter the country’s fledgling casino market.

Banijay Gaming has agreed to acquire the casino network of Groupe JOA, in a move that will expand its position in its home-market of France.

PopOK Gaming has officially obtained certification for the Portuguese market. While casino supplier Eeze has continued its European expansion with the opening of a new office at the AFI Park Floreasca in Bucharest, Romania.

Romania-based operator Superbet has teamed up with Greek basketball giant Olympiacos BC in a major deal spanning through 2032.

GGPoker, the World’s Biggest Poker Room, introduces Action Voice, letting players hear poker icons – including Doyle Brunson, Daniel Negreanu, Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi and more – call their action at the tables.
