Sands China Ltd has announced the appointment of Patrick Dumont – President and Chief Operating Officer of parent company Las Vegas Sands Corp (LVS) – as a non-executive director of the company.
The appointment, which has no fixed term, comes as Dumont is set to take over as Chairman and CEO of LVS in March, replacing the retiring Rob Goldstein.
The 51-year-old has served as President, COO, and Treasurer of LVS since January 2021 and has been a member of the LVS Board of Directors since April 2017. Since February 2021, he has also headed LVS (Nevada) International Holdings, Inc, and since December 2013 has served as Treasurer of LVS Nevada and as a director of Venetian Venture Development Intermediate II.
Previously, Dumont held the positions of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of LVS from March 2016 to January 2021, principal financial officer since February 2016, and Senior Vice President of Finance and Strategy from September 2013 to February 2016.
Since December 2023, he has also been an owner of the NBA team Dallas Mavericks. Patrick Dumont is married to Sivan Ochshorn, daughter of Dr. Miriam Adelson – one of the founders of LVS along with her late husband, Sheldon Adelson.
LVS holds a controlling 73.6% stake in Sands China.
It was announced in March that, effective 1 March 2026, Rob Goldstein will transition to the role of Senior Advisor at LVS, with the Board of Directors stating its intention to appoint Patrick Dumont as Chairman and CEO following Goldstein’s transition to his new role.
