According to Yaroslav Zheleznyak, first deputy chairman of the parliamentary committee on budget, finance and taxes, in September alone, the Ukrainian gambling business contributed UAH 1.01Bn in taxes to the State Budget.
«This is 300 million more in just one month than in the entire 2022 year and 5 times more than in the entire 2021. This is the period (the last month of the quarter) when tax revenues are not very big and consist mainly of personal income tax on winnings», — Zheleznyak commented.
In September 2022, the gambling business brought in only 31.2 million UAH. This is 32 times more than the year before.
The total volume of tax revenues from gambling activities in January-September of this year has already reached UAH 6.65Bn.
