Betby has received approval from the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) to provide its esports betting solution to MGA-licensed operators.
This solution includes pre-match and live odds, content coverage, and a stats center. Operators have the option to integrate it as a standalone source of esports data or as part of the sports betting operator Betby.
Additional features include risk management tools, a back office, and live esports streaming via Twitch. Following an MGA audit, this approval confirms Betby’s compliance with all necessary regulatory requirements.
This is one of the last approvals received under MGA’s current CEO Carl Brincat before Charles Mizzi takes over on January 26th.
Eva Berkova, Betby COO, commented: “This is a major milestone for Betby. During the past years, Betby has invested heavily in its own esports odds feed product… We are already collaborating with some of the leading esports feed suppliers in the industry and the feedback has been astounding.”
Ilze Ramolina, Betby Head of Legal, noted: “We are very proud to have received this approval from the MGA. We highly appreciate the cooperation with the regulator. Compliance with the applicable law is one of the pillars Betby stands on. Approval of the esports odds feed is an important addition to our existing verticals. The work does not stop here as Betby has big ambitions to expand the offering of its products in the regulated jurisdictions.”
