Thumba Launches New Fantasy Sports Platform on Telegram

Thumba is preparing for its launch on Telegram, aiming to offer a simplified approach to creating fantasy sports teams.

The platform features a swipe-based interface where users can quickly select players, allowing them to predict which players will perform best in upcoming matches.

The platform caters to both experienced fantasy sports players and newcomers, offering daily tournaments instead of long-term seasons.

The daily format allows users to frequently update their team rosters without the risk of long-term consequences from injuries or unstable performances. Players are selected by swiping left or right, and teams can be created in just a few minutes.

Users will be able to make predictions on “Messi or Ronaldo,” participating in one of the most discussed football debates by choosing which player they think will perform better. This feature includes real-time statistics showing the percentage of users supporting each player.

Thumba offers both free participation and the option to place financial bets on predictions. Payments can be made through Telegram’s cryptocurrency, TON (The Open Network), as well as through other methods such as Apple Pay and Google Pay. The platform also plans to expand its payment options to support additional cryptocurrencies in the future.

Exclusively available on Telegram, with its over one billion users, Thumba will leverage the social features of the app, allowing users to interact, share strategies, and stay updated on tournament results.

Thumba’s launch comes amidst increasing competition in the fantasy sports market. Other players, such as Wanna.com, have recently expanded their offerings with the Wanna Parlay app, while GameOn has launched its Live Fantasy platform in anticipation of UEFA Euro 2024.
