Stake has announced a new deal with the Champion of Champions Tour (CCT).
The operator will become the exclusive betting partner for the English-language broadcast of the major CS2 esports tournament, organized in collaboration with GRID and Eden Esports.
The brand aims to connect with esports fans by providing content and special activations during the event.
This marks Stake’s first partnership in an esports event and the company’s debut in competitive gaming.
Stake’s Chief Marketing Officer, Akhil Sarin, commented on the partnership, noting that the Champion of Champions Tour (CCT) is an ideal opportunity for the company to enter esports. He emphasized that esports is one of the key growth areas for Stake.
Sarin also mentioned that as part of the collaboration with GRID, several activations and content creation are planned.
The Champion of Champions Tour, now in its second iteration, features a prize pool of $1.5 million and will conclude with a major LAN final in early 2025. The defending champion of the tournament is the Turkish team Eternal Fire, which defeated Team Liquid in the global final in May 2024.
Mikael Westerling, Chief Sales Officer at GRID, added: “Stake’s reputation for innovation, support of traditional sports, and entertainment makes them a perfect partner for the CCT. Together, we look forward to elevating the tournament experience for players, fans, and the entire esports community.”
The CCT has already begun and includes 36 online tournaments divided across four regions, culminating in a global final. Over 60 teams have already earned points to qualify for the CCT final, but only the top five teams will advance to the main event in 2025, where they will be joined by invited teams.
Among the winners of this year’s CCT are GamerLegion, BetBoom Team, Wildcard, and paiN Gaming. The 2024 final featured 16 teams.
