The Milli Majlis (Parliament) of Azerbaijan<\/strong> has approved<\/a>, in its third and final reading, a bill permitting the establishment of casinos on artificial land plots located in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea. While Bulgaria\u2019s gaming industry<\/strong> has come out<\/a> against government plans to introduce a range of restrictions on online gambling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The South Caucasus region of Eurasia<\/strong> has caught the attention of many multinationals, and local firm Crocobet<\/strong>, and its Chairman, Temur Mikeladze<\/strong>, are not surprised as to why. Mikeladze talks us <\/a>through regional dynamics in this interview to SBC News. While 4H Agency<\/strong> CEO Ilya Machavariani<\/strong> and expert Divya Negi<\/strong> explore <\/a>how the state of Karnataka<\/strong> is paving a new path for the regulation of digital gambling in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two largest industry associations in the Dutch gambling industry, VNLOK <\/strong>and NOGA,<\/strong> have decided<\/a> to merge in the context of a rapidly changing regulatory environment, uniting their member organizations under the VNLOK brand. While the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR)<\/strong> has expressed<\/a> support for stricter regulation in the country but opposed a ban on online gaming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meta<\/strong> has published <\/a>a list of countries where gambling advertising is prohibited on its platforms. From now on, any gambling-related advertising placed on Meta\u2019s platforms must also be pre-approved by the company itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just as it looked as though The Star Entertainment Group <\/strong>wouldn\u2019t be able<\/a> to exit the Queen\u2019s Wharf Brisbane<\/strong> project, a lifeline has been handed to the Australian casino operator. While Flutter Entertainment<\/strong> has confirmed<\/a> that its Betfair <\/strong>brand has ceased operations in New Zealand <\/strong>due to recent legislative changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, on July 8, Flutter Entertainment confirmed<\/a> that its brands Paddy Power<\/strong> and Betfair UK had been subjected to a cyberattack. While a WinBet<\/strong> domain has been barred from operating in Sweden due to missing local licence, the Spelinspektionen<\/strong> regulator has revealed.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sun International <\/strong>is undergoing<\/a> significant changes in two key areas of its operations \u2013 mergers and acquisitions, and senior leadership. While Entain<\/strong> has enhanced<\/a> the customer experience at Ladbrokes<\/strong> and Coral <\/strong>shops in the UK and Ireland by fully rolling out its Group BetStation (GBS)<\/strong> platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GG.BET <\/strong>has become<\/a> the main sponsor of the boxing match between Ukrainian fighter Oleksandr Usyk<\/strong> and Daniel Dubois<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Betano<\/strong> has signed<\/a> a sponsorship agreement with Bayern Munich<\/strong> as part of its push to increase brand recognition in the German market. While Soft2Bet<\/strong> is expanding<\/a> its footprint in Romania through its Don.ro <\/strong>brand which has signed a multi-year deal to become the main sponsor of CFR 1907 Cluj.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
