{"id":10725,"date":"2025-09-10T08:55:55","date_gmt":"2025-09-10T07:55:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/?p=10725"},"modified":"2025-09-10T08:55:59","modified_gmt":"2025-09-10T07:55:59","slug":"sbc-summit-to-feature-four-events-for-women-in-the-gaming-industry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2025\/09\/10\/sbc-summit-to-feature-four-events-for-women-in-the-gaming-industry\/","title":{"rendered":"SBC Summit to Feature Four Events for Women in the Gaming Industry"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>During the <a href=\"https:\/\/sbcevents.com\/sbc-summit\/\"><strong>SBC Summit<\/strong><\/a> in Lisbon on September 16-18, SBC will hold the second edition of a program promoting the <strong>Women Empowerment (WE) Initiative<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Across the first two days of the event, <strong>SBC<\/strong> will host four dedicated networking events for women in the global gaming and betting industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the highlights will be <strong>An Evening of Empowerment &amp; Community at the River Lounge<\/strong> at Myriad by SANA on the evening of Sept. 16. For two hours, participants will be able to interact with international associations, learn about impactful initiatives and strengthen connections with other women in the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the official WE Initiative program, the Summit will host three other meetings dedicated to women in gaming:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Women in Gaming (WiG) Africa \u2013 Friends &amp; Allies Networking Drinks<\/strong>: Sept. 16 at Food Festival 6. WiG Africa invites women and allies to participate in a collective toast to bring together professionals interested in strengthening ties between Africa and the international industry.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Association of Women in the Gaming Industry (AMIG) Happy Hour<\/strong>: Sept. 17 at the<strong> BetBoom<\/strong> booth (C150). This event will be a relaxed gathering, with an open bar, live music and a welcoming atmosphere. Created by Brazilian women, AMIG has a mission to support and promote female participation in the sector, celebrating achievements and encouraging new leadership.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Global Gaming Women (GGW) Breakfast Meet-Up<\/strong>: Sept. 17 between Halls 1 and 2. The traditional GGW breakfast, sponsored this year by <strong>Segev LLP<\/strong>, offers an informal space for women to talk about their careers, share lessons learned, and learn about mentoring initiatives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Launched in 2024, the WE Initiative was created with the purpose of connecting, educating and giving voices to women in the sports betting, gaming and related industries and fostering a global community of strong and inspiring leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The movement already has the support of internationally recognized groups such as the <strong>All-In Diversity Project, AMIG, GGW, SheEOs (Americas), Women in Gaming Group <\/strong>and <strong>Women in Gaming Africa.<\/strong> They all share the goal of increasing women\u2019s participation and leadership in a segment historically marked by gender inequalities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SBC has been providing awareness and integration initiatives for years, such as exclusive breakfasts for women at all its events, themed conferences, mentoring and content focused on equality.
