{"id":11126,"date":"2025-10-16T10:13:14","date_gmt":"2025-10-16T09:13:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/?p=11126"},"modified":"2025-10-16T10:13:19","modified_gmt":"2025-10-16T09:13:19","slug":"wpp-and-google-to-jointly-develop-ai-powered-marketing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2025\/10\/16\/wpp-and-google-to-jointly-develop-ai-powered-marketing\/","title":{"rendered":"WPP and Google to Jointly Develop AI-Powered Marketing"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Communications giant <strong>WPP<\/strong> has signed a <strong>five-year partnership<\/strong> with <strong>Google<\/strong> aimed at advancing cloud and AI technologies for marketers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The goal is to enable brands to create <strong>hyper-relevant marketing campaigns<\/strong> in just a few days instead of months, using an <strong>integrated approach<\/strong> that brings together creativity, production, media, user experience, and commerce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The agreement includes a <strong>$400 million investment commitment<\/strong> from WPP in Google technologies, allowing the company to embed AI into its services alongside the continued development of its own platform, <strong>WPP Open<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Cindy Rose,<\/strong> CEO of WPP said: \u201cI\u2019m incredibly excited about how our new and evolved partnership with Google will redefine what\u2019s possible for our clients. By delivering bespoke AI solutions and enabling hyper-relevant campaigns with unprecedented scale and speed, we\u2019re accelerating innovation across every facet of marketing to drive unparalleled growth and impact.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the deal, there will be a number of key initiatives including developing bespoke AI solutions using Gemini for clients; integrating Google Marketplace into WPP Open to offer secure, privacy-first data collaboration; and integrating Google\u2019s advanced AI into its internal workflows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WPP will also receive early access to Google\u2019s latest AI models for image and video production, including <strong>Veo<\/strong> and <strong>Imagen,<\/strong> which will also be integrated into WPP Open.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lorraine Twohill,<\/strong> SVP, Global Marketing, Google said: \u201cAs an important partner to Google marketing, WPP has been working closely with us on a number of AI tools and innovations built with Gemini \u2013 all focused on driving brand love and real business growth through truly helpful experiences that resonate with our billions of users around the world. I\u2019m excited to continue exploring what marketing and storytelling looks like in this new era, together.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The agreement was signed in <strong>Mountain View, California<\/strong>, during a meeting between <strong>Cindy Rose<\/strong>, <strong>Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian<\/strong>, and other senior executives from both companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The news came just a few days after the <strong>UK Competition and Markets Authority<\/strong> granted Google the status of a company with <strong>\u201cstrategic market status\u201d<\/strong>, a move that could lead to tighter regulations and have a significant impact on marketers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AI is rapidly transforming various areas of business<\/strong> &#8211; particularly marketing and affiliate programs. The effects of these changes are already being felt in related industries, including <strong>betting and online gaming<\/strong>, raising questions about whether these innovations will ultimately do more good or harm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re seeing the biggest change in user behaviour since the internet was invented,\u201d said <strong>Dmitry Belianin,<\/strong> Founder and CEO Belianin.com, an iGaming marketing consultancy, at the <strong>SBC Summit in Lisbon<\/strong> last month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYou have, obviously, a lot of AI tools, and Google and the internet is evolving a lot.
