{"id":11271,"date":"2025-10-28T11:28:31","date_gmt":"2025-10-28T11:28:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/?p=11271"},"modified":"2025-10-28T11:28:36","modified_gmt":"2025-10-28T11:28:36","slug":"hong-kong-becomes-the-new-destination-in-racing-and-sports-global-expansion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2025\/10\/28\/hong-kong-becomes-the-new-destination-in-racing-and-sports-global-expansion\/","title":{"rendered":"Hong Kong Becomes the New Destination in Racing and Sports\u2019 Global Expansion"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Australian betting solutions firm<strong> Racing and Sports<\/strong> <strong>(RAS) <\/strong>has significantly expanded its international reach with the launch of a new Asia-facing division, focused on <strong>Hong Kong.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Racing and Sports Asia (RASA) <\/strong>has been set up with the Hong Kong horse racing markets in mind, the <strong>Hong Kong<\/strong> <strong>Jockey Club (HKJC) <\/strong>being one of the biggest racing organisers in Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>RASA has hit the ground running by acquiring six Hong Kong horse racing media outlets, including the popular <strong>HDKN, WQ Booklet<\/strong> and <strong>Sun Racing,<\/strong> which have a combined circulation of 2.7 million via distribution at over 420 vendors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The acquisition also includes the <strong>HKDNForm.com <\/strong>online outlet. The move marks a significant stepping up of RAS\u2019 efforts in direct media publication, with the group\u2019s operational focus being on horse racing data and content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The firm states that it wants to better connect Hong Kong horse racing followers with other <strong>World Pool <\/strong>events \u2013 the HKJC being one of the main partners in the World Pool global tote \u2013 and will publish global simulcast publications on non-Hong Kong racedays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThese titles have been at the heart of Hong Kong\u2019s racing culture for decades,\u201d an RAS statement read. \u201cUnder RASA, they are being revitalised for a new era that combines trusted heritage with innovation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Hong Kong \u2013 next stop for international RAS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>RAS\u2019 corporate journey saw the company established in 1999 with a focus on data and content, as outlined above. It secured an ASX listing in 2021 as RAS Technology Holdings, and since then, it has been embarking on international expansion efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This has seen launches in markets like the UK, where horse racing is the second most bet on sport, via a deal with <strong>Stakemate,<\/strong> a relatively new sportsbook in the British betting space, which counts RAS as a racing feed provider.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Hong Kong, horse racing is, at least for now, one of only two legal betting sports, the other being football, and legal betting on basketball in the pipeline.
