{"id":11593,"date":"2025-11-26T11:44:43","date_gmt":"2025-11-26T11:44:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/?p=11593"},"modified":"2025-11-26T11:44:46","modified_gmt":"2025-11-26T11:44:46","slug":"kambi-extends-partnership-with-paf-to-strengthen-its-presence-in-the-nordic-region","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sbceurasia.com\/en\/2025\/11\/26\/kambi-extends-partnership-with-paf-to-strengthen-its-presence-in-the-nordic-region\/","title":{"rendered":"Kambi Extends Partnership with Paf to Strengthen Its Presence in the Nordic Region"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Kambi Group plc<\/strong> has extended its partnership with <strong>Paf<\/strong>, the state-owned operator of Finland\u2019s autonomous \u00c5land region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First established in 2010, the longstanding relationship has boosted Paf\u2019s international profile, with Kambi\u2019s online sportsbook technology helping the operator expand across Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Spain and Sweden.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The extension will allow Paf to keep leveraging Kambi\u2019s Turnkey solutions not only for its flagship offering, but also for its other brands <strong>Speedybet<\/strong> and <strong>Golden Bull.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Christer Fahlstedt<\/strong>, CEO of Paf, highlighted the partnership\u2019s extension as the \u201cnatural choice\u201d for the \u00c5land operator after years of results-driven collaboration with Kambi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Werner Becher<\/strong>, CEO of Kambi, added: \u201cWe are proud to announce this latest contract renewal with Paf, growing Kambi\u2019s relationship with one its longest standing partners.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are enthused to continue working closely with Paf, empowering them with our premium sports betting products and supporting their strategic growth ambitions\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paf is headquartered at and licensed in<strong> \u00c5land \u2013 an archipelago of around 6,700 islands clustered in the Baltic Sea between Sweden and Finland<\/strong>. Whilst the main language is Swedish, the autonomous territory is considered to be a part of Finland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What\u2019s interesting about the region is that it is fully self-governing, and therefore has its own gambling jurisdiction separate from that of Finland, where the Finnish state operator <strong>Veikkaus<\/strong> holds a monopoly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In \u00c5land, the only licensed operator is <strong>Paf<\/strong> \u2013 which is granted exclusive rights over land-based and online gambling by the local autonomous administration, by which it is also controlled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the topic of Finland, the country wants to break up the Veikkaus monopoly model and replace it with a licensed market by January 2027.
